It comes stock with a 42 strand snare. It's always been lacking a pop and I've never gotten the sound I'm after from it. Tried many different tunings, heads etc.
But it's just occured to me in the 2 years I've owned it that I've never swapped the wires over. So I'm wondering if this has been my problem all along. I play hard hitting rock, lots of heavy hitting rimshots etc.
Can you suggest me a snare wire to go along with my style?
