I've always loved Tomas Haake. His approach to writing drum parts for heavy music is amazing to me. My friend (who did the guitar and bass for this cover) and I have always thought that "Elastic" is an underrated song of theirs. It's got some seriously awesome groove to it. Hopefully some of you will enjoy this! It was a difficult song for me to play, but after hearing it enough times I was able to get through it (for the most part!).
And yeah, that's an Evans Heavyweight snare head with the top coated ply skin removed. Playing on the clear skin only gives the snare an interesting pop.
