Just picked up a new 16" HHX evolution crash and I dearly love this thing!.. Any who own one probably agree, it's not really "dark" but then again it is. Played lightly, the darkness rolls off this cymbal and the more you lay into it, there's a brightness that just explodes with color. The sustain is very quick and you can almost blow on this cymbal to get it to react.. Quite possibly the best cymbal I've ever purchased for my type of playing. I play some blues, country rock etc. and it fits in great with my AAX and my zildjian "k" 14" hats. Thinking about going back after the 17" evolution in the future... Just thought I'd give my new best friend some love here... Great product in my opinion!
