I just caught a clip of the Vienna Phil. playing Ravels, Bolero. I am always interested in choice of concert snares often played in what has to be the most taxing snare drum part ever written. To my great surprise, the fine musician was playing an LM400! This was a fairly recent concert. So it just goes to show you that these drums are far more than rock or jazz drums; they still show up in the least likely places, and do the job!
