So, in the new MD, Jojo Mayer makes the comment that straight stands, single braced ones, sound better than boom stands. Something about less mass to impede energy displacement. I honestly never thought about this, and I am not sure I can tell a difference. But I am curious if anyone else has found this to be the case.
