I'm looking to add another 22x18" bass drum to my Imperialstar drum kit. I was wondering if I should get another Imperialstar drum, or look into other models / brands? I would prefer a sound which is close to the Imperialstar. I've seen some Tama Rockstar bass drums at reasonable prices. Are they similar in sound?
I realize these are questions which can have subjective answers, but I'm just looking for a general idea. If it helps, I play black / death metal with speeds over 200bpm. I'm putting a lot of effort into ambidexterity, so I'll be using the second bass drum a lot.
