Hey guys, I recently purchased a Yamaha Musashi 13" new off Ebay and I've been playing it for about a month and it still has the stock Remo Ambassador on it but I have 2-ply coated heads on my toms and the Musashi sounds pretty bright compared to the rest of my kit because of it, And I could use some help deciding on a head.
Here are the ones that have peaked my interest:
1: The Modern Vintage II (these are whats on my toms currently)
2: The Deep Vintage II (same coating as the Modern Vintage but with 2 plies of 10mil instead of 7mil)
3: The Super 2 (this one sounded interesting with one of the plies being 7mil and the second ply being 5mil)
4: The Response 2 (just Aquarian's standard 2-ply 7mil + 7mil)
5: And lastly the Triple Threat (this one seems a bit overkill but I wanted your guys' opinion on it)
As for the music I play, I've been taking lessons for jazz but I play mostly classic rock and a bit of pop with my band. Thanks in advance for replies, about to go to bed so it'll be a bit till i can reply.
