In reference to the Jimi Hendrix thread, and the above guide lines, Jimi Hendrix is music related but his murder/suicide is not. The thread was closed by me because it was getting out of hand, and off topic.
The OP has apologised for the thread, although he was not the one causing the disturbance or having issues.
My job is too keep an eye on such matters and I promise to keep a closer eye on such things in the future. I try not to delete, close, interfere, or ban folks prematurly, but it is time to tighten up a bit. Even the Off Topic Lounge must stay on topic.
We talk about being a brotherhood of drummers and we need to watch our P's and Q's (pint and quarts) and keep things in perspective.
If you have any doubts about subject matter, PM one of the mods, and lets discuss the subject before hand. I try not to take sides on subjects but will not hesitate to jump in if I think it is going down the wrong path. Thank you.
