Gretsch snare tension rods.

I need tension rods for a New Classic snare. I don't have any rods now, so I have nothing to measure. Gretsch parts catalog lists two lengths. 1 5/8 and

1 1/4. Which one is right for the snare? I'm thinking its 1 5/8 but I'm not sure.
