Good Price on Used Roland TD-6V?

I have never owned an electric kit before, but gig on my bandmate's Roland TD-6. The only problem is that the kit registers two hits often on the hi hat and the sensors don't seem to pick up my strokes on the hi hat or ride (solution?).



I may pick one up for myself to gig on if the price is right to help with these problems. I found a TD-6V for about $650 on craigslist and everything seems to be in pretty lightly used condition. Everything is stock with a mesh snare and three rubber toms.



Is this a good price? Any ideas to fix my friend's seemingly burned out cymbals?
