I have a thin 5mm beech sonor BG snare that I was thinking about changing things up with. I was wondering what the wood whisperers here on the forum think about a roundover (full roundover or roundover with inside cut) would do soundwise for this snare?
In terms of lows, mids, and highs, how will this cut affect the sound of the snare?
How would it affect stick response?
How would it affect sensitivity?
And how would it affect the tone of the snare overall?
I:ve been real curious about bearing edges after listening to tons of clips of the protean and craviattos with bb edges!
Anyone play/own a snare with this kind of combo of edge?
