I have a quick question. Excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject. I am looking to upgrade my lesson studio a bit and would like a bit more control on the headphones. I have a half decent (cheaper) ( http://ift.tt/1e1miGT )headphone amp right now, but would like another one. The idea is to put my current one in the students control to bring their headphone volume to where they would like it.
I am thinking about a rack mounted headphone amp as they seem better in quality and I could use my existing rack.
Would it be better to do more of a mixer or would there not be enough power? Maybe a powered mixer?
So I would be putting a click or music in and getting my headphones out as well as an out to the other headphone amp which had the student's headphones plugged in.
