Hey all, have any of you experienced the newish Meinl Classic Custom Dark series? I've been researching them and keeping up with any posts or videos, but with the exception of the Benny Greb video that Meinl have on their channel, there are no others.
Their made of b10 bronze with extra hammering and a black finish resulting in a darker trashier sound (which I love) They cost the exact same as the rest of the Custom line but certainly sound better (to me anyways)
The thing is, I could get a set of Sabian Paragons with new stands and a free Pearl snare for $50, which is just a $100 more than a set of these Classic Custom Dark cymbals. I'm not sure how B10 bronze will hold up and if it'll be clangier, brighter, and just all around cheaper sounding then I've been led to believe over the small amounts of videos.
Anybody have any experience? I really really want to love the cymbals especially because of their looks and price but they seem to sound great as well. Just wanted to check in with you all before jumping on it
