a question for the followers of Gordy knudtson

I wonder if anybody here is familiar with G knudtson teachings of the open close technique ,which in the video I'm attaching (11:57) he divides into 1 open/close, 2 open/bounce/close, 3 open/bounce/bounce/close ...now,when in continuous mode ,all of them seem to amount to a single stroke.Is there any particular grouping of notes that should be played using any of the three kinds of stroke in particular or do we just use them randomly to create a fast single stroke?cheers
