Roland TD12 or TD20 what do i need to know???

Hi all! Ok I'm looking at getting a used Roland TD12 kit and after looking on some well known auction sites they seem to be around the £1300 mark. TD20's seem to be round the £1900 mark used but to be honest i can't really afford that or maybe at a push but are they really any better than the TD12?

The hardware seems to be the same and obviously the modules are different... What do i need to know and what should i do if my budget allows?
