Yesterday I found a small (<1cm) crack by the hole of my 20" Meinl Byzance Extra thin hammered crash. It's only a month old, has no other signs of wear and has certainly not been badly treated. I talked to the retailer and they say Meinl probably won't replace it since they usually only replace cymbals with radial cracks on warranty. I was pretty surprised since this is clearly a manufacturing fault. Do you think the crack will spread? Should I argue more with the retailer to get it replaced or should I keep playing and trust that it doesn't spread?
