So our band has started using a metronome to make sure we keep in time.
It's just a free app on the iPhone for now but we'll probably look into using custom click tracks in the future.
Those that use metronomes or click tracks, do you find that you rigidly stick to the beat or does it fall in and out throughout the song? I'm finding as the rhythm of the song changes for the chorus or bridge, we fall out of the click, although the change is really subtle so it doesn't take too much to bring it back.
I don't use any sort of time signature per se, I just have it clicking at 80bpm or whatever the songs needs and just play to that. Is that where I'm going wrong?
Also, can anyone recommend any, preferably free apps for the iPhone that may help?
Thanks
