Imgur album to part of my collection

Pearl Session Studio Classic - 14 x 5

The Session Studio is made up of a birch/kapur blend. This drum is definitely the punchiest of the bunch. It has incredible low end despite being shorter in depth than the other snares while possessing enough tone to cut into the mix. I use this as a main on my second kit designed with genres lighter than metal or alternative rock. Definitely recommend for sound quality and for it also being one of the cheapest of the whole inventory.

Tama S.L.P. G-Maple - 13 x 7

The G-Maple is what I use for a side snare to the Session Studio. I tune it higher and it provides a nice contrast to the low punch. It has very little decay and overtones, which makes it nice for fast tempos and music that is not overly busy/loud. Great for a solid hip back beat.

Pearl Sensitone Elite Beaded Aluminum - 14 x 5

The Sensitone Aluminum has a great crisp pop. Depending on the genre I'll switch the Session Studio for this to get a lighter sound. Being metal it has less low end punch (but still there) and you get a purer tone. I also tune it higher and the projection on this snare is really good as well. Great for a less beefier, crack sound.

Pearl Sensitone Elite Beaded Brass - 14 x 6.5

This Sensitone Brass is what I use for my main on my larger kit, which is best suited for getting a big sound. The snare is very sensitive and has a very wet sound to it. Rings beautifully while cutting through very well. You will hear overtones unless you muffle it heavily, but to me it sounds great with them. The intrinsic tone backs up the attack of the snare on every note. Personally, since I do play metal with this kit, it could use a bit more low end, but the depth gives it enough to get by. I could also use it in any other genre with no issues. Plenty body for a metal snare, but not as much as wood. I would consider this a good general purpose snare, but especially nice for a high crack with washy tone for metal.

Pearl Limited Edition Kapur - 14 x 6.5

The Limited Edition Kapur is a good snare, but I'd have to say it is the most bland of my inventory. That's not to say it sounds bad, just doesn't blow me away on many points. It has a well rounded pop with a full sound. Nothing sticks out particularly but it's comfortable to listen to. I use it as a side snare to my metal kit alongside the Sensitone Brass as it does have more body so it's useful at times. The Kapur is unoffensive but you might want something with more flavor. If you want to upgrade your snare and can't decide what spectrum of sound you want to lean towards, grab this.

Pearl Firecracker - 10 x 5

To be honest I don't really use the Firecracker all that much. I've been thinking I should've gotten the 12 x 5 version as I feel the 10 is too quiet and has a very narrow tuning range. Too tight and it chokes very easily. Too low and it just sounds bad. It lacks in projection, so I would only bring this to a gig with mics or to a small beach bar. I can see the potential for reggae or light ska music, but it's a very specialized sort of sound. I'd only get this if you know it's the sound you need or want, because it's the only sound you'll be able to get out of it. Cool for a little effect snare, but it sees very little playing in my experience.

Ludwig Black Beauty with Super Sensitive Snares - 14 x 5

The Black Beauty SS is very nice and a great centerpiece, but I do not use it anymore, mostly for the sake of retaining value! I used this snare before I got the Sensitone Brass and while it was very versatile, I needed something with more ummph. The sonic characteristics of the BB-SS are exactly what I describe for the Sensitone Brass, albeit more refined and narrower in depth. It is what a brass snare aspires to sound like, but from the price tag and the delicate nature of it, I couldn't say I'd buy it again. It's a cool thing to have and I loved having it, but for my everyday uses, there are more suited snares for me. If you happen to land on one you won't hate, but you might be disappointed in how much you may or may not love it.
