So here I am , playing along/reading tommy igoe groove essentials 1 and 2. Haven't done it in a while and it shows all my flaws.
I get to 79 and it shows fast swing. I play along and it is a medium swing . I was like "whatta??" I just keep on playing. Then it goes to the second chorus and it's double time !!! I keep on playing , everything falls apart .
Right hand is kinda ok (I'd say 70%). Left foot just can't keep up. I just can't bounce my leg thst fast. Try to do stuff with snare and kick : just fogataboutit!!!!
What's the trick with those types of tempi? Any enlightenment that could be provided ??? Lol
