I recently loosened and tightened my roland snare (pd120) nylon head. After doing so I have lost sound when striking it everywhere but the very centre of the head. What could have happened to cause this? I should say I put pressure to the center when I was tightening it to make it taught. Maybe I shouldn't have done that for it was not a new head and I'm not sure if you tune these the same as acoustic drums. I hope there is a simple answer to this like maybe having to change settings on the module for the snare???? Anyway, hope I can get answers from you guys out there. Oh yeah, another thing, I can't seem to get a good sssshuup sound from the hi-hats when striking and instantaneously opening the hi-hats. Is this normal for electronic drums hi hats? Thanks for the answers in advance.
