Trying out the Dunnett R4-L strainer

vendredi 22 mai 2015

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to give the Dunnett strainer a try on my Supras. I just ordered two of the R4-L throw-offs and am sorta excited to try them.

I'm a big proponent of the original Ludwig P-85 throw-off and I've never had a problem with them, other than having to readjust the tension knob constantly, that's all I've ever had to do. I have a P-86 in my garage that I was going to try, but I thought I'd just "go all the way" and get the Dunnett and see what all the fuss is about. So I'm looking forward to it. I will make a full report on it when I get it installed.

I guess the prospect of not having to continuously adjust the snare tension knob is the biggest change I face. If I find myself having to do that with the Dunnett, I'll switch back. I'm sure others here already have these strainers, I take it you guys are positive about them?
