I have Sirius satellite radio. One of the stations is called classic vinyl. They spin real vinyl albums. But Sirius broadcasts digitally over the air.
So my question is, on paper, should a vinyl record sound better than song from a CD if it's broadcast digitally?
I don't know at all, but my guess is it doesn't make any sonic difference to the listener if you spin vinyl but broadcast digitally.
I only get Sirius in my van, which has crap speakers, so I can't do any real comparison.
Also, feel free to comment on whether you feel that listening to vinyl sounds better than listening to a CD at home.
