I am trying to decide if it's worth me rims mounting my 15 year old sonor s-class. I know it's not the most pressing issue in the world right now but it's quite expensive all said and done.

It uses 7/8" gear tooth tiller arms like the old school pearl ones.
I'm just wondering if you guys think I will get a decent improvement in the sound of the drums?
My parent bought me this kit when I was just starting out, it was a high end kit at the time and it is very nice looking and sounding so it is probably not something I will ever sell, I think the shells themselves would sound as good as any German sonor from that era (this was made just before they moved production to China). It would be nice to give it some modern hardware for aesthetics but I can't decide if it's worthwhile!
