Let me introduce my next Mono Ply, European Walnut snare.
This is a "on request"snare handmade in Germany. Walnut is my favorite wood so I decided to go for a Sinlge ply snare with a Maple US re-rings in 14X6.
I have many snares but always found in Walnut that "Woody, warm and poppy" sound.
The snare is still in progess and I will share, step by step some pictures of the building process.
Here the spec :
- Mono Ply European Walnut Shell 14x6, steambent 10mm + 6mm reinforcement US Maple rings
- Special full rounded bearing edge
- 2mm Snare bed
- Satin Oil finish
- Mono point low mass lugs
- 2.3 Safe Hoops vintage
- Deluxe Modern Gibraltar Strainer
- Hi Carbon wire
- Full Remo Ambassador heads
