Hey, as part of getting my head round recording my 2012 Mapex Saturn in Fusion sizes i'm making an attempt at the whole Youtube cover thingy, trying to do some basic covers of classic tunes as i'm looking to get some gig/recording work locally with bands, and try and come across as a solid play for the song kinda guy, then once my foots in the door just go nuts and drown out everyone :D Only kidding.
I did this cover yesterday, was just wondering mainly what everyones thoughts are on the drum mix as at the moment i am lacking decent monitor speakers where i have the drums setup, so its a real pain getting to hear what i'm actually recording.
I have also included a soundloud link of the raw drum sound, i think i may have set the backing track too loud which possibly drowns out the drums too much, not sure how it sounds on other systems but think the kick sounds a bit lost and the snare sees to have lost its crack?
Any opinions woud be great!
P.s i chose this song as i just bought the HHX Evo Hats and thought it would be a good test for them!
