I have a pair of cheap Sonor CB 1 hi hats that I got as part of a synthesizer trade some time ago. I just set them up and it seems that the top one has the mounting hole off center? It doesn't sit straight.
Also, I'm not sure if it's because of that, but they sound pretty bad. They should be good because they're bronze and hand-hammered, top and bottom are different weight, but they sound pretty piss poor. Just tried a pair of PST 5 the other day and it's a day and night difference.
Also does anyone have any idea who might have made these cymbals? They say "Cast Series by Sonor, 14" Hi Hat top/bottom, Handmade in China" Stagg maybe? Certainly not Sonor.
