Am I nitpicking?

So I have a brady block, which I bought new a few months ago. I recently discovered that the butt plate and throw off are misalined! Its about 5-7mm offset from one another. This makes lining up the snares a bit trickier and Im worried that this offset may cause premature wear on the snares.

We all know how much these snares cost, I just can't believe this kind of flaw would be on a snare of this supposedly high quality..
Any thoughts? Im going to talk to the store from which I bought it today..
