20" or 22" Double Kick setup

Hi! I was going to order a Tama b/b (Birch/Bubinga) kit with two Bass drums! I was leaning towards 20" kicks as they take less space and you can position the toms better/lower. So i was wondering if someone have experience with Tamas b/b line and if the 20" kick packs enough punch/volume for Death Metal or if triggers are something i should look into right away if i decide to pick up the 20" kicks. I looked for previous threads, no one said anything about the b/b 20" kicks.
